Eurodesk held its Network Meeting from 28 March - 31 March in Tbilisi, Georgia, bringing together Eurodesk National Coordinators from across Europe to discuss how to best provide information to young people about mobility opportunities abroad. The meeting was hosted by Eurodesk Georgia, in cooperation with Eurodesk Brussels Link.
The opening ceremony took place in the historical City Hall in Tbilisi, Georgia, where attendees were warmly welcomed by Lorena Baric, Eurodesk President, and local officials including Andria Basilaia, Deputy Mayor of Tbilisi City Council, Irakli Gvilava, Head of Municipal Department of Culture, Education, Sport and Youth Affairs of Tbilisi City Hall (Eurodesk Georgia), and Giorgi Chakvetadze, Chairman of Youth and Sport Commission of Tbilisi City Council.
The event saw the Eurodesk Brussels Link team present the activities carried out since September 2023, and future initiatives planned such as the Com’Go training, Inclusion Guidelines, and an EU-level campaign on the EU elections. Attendees also took part in a World Café on Inclusion, a pitch session on Eurodesk partnerships, and a discussion on the Time to Move Campaign. Additionally, Eurodesk Brussels Link presented its brand new brand strategy for the Network.
Other highlights of the meeting included an interactive exercise on working with multipliers and a session on making the best of digital outreach as a network. The event also covered training multipliers, discussing how to use the QTP & eAcademy, and the EU Elections project, which aims to encourage young people to vote in upcoming European elections.
Overall, the meeting was a great success, providing attendees with a wealth of information on the future plans of the network, and supporting dialogue and exchanges between them and experts. Eurodesk Georgia has been widely acclaimed by all participants for providing an outstanding level of support and an exceptional cultural programme of high quality. Its commitment to ensuring a memorable experience for all involved is truly commendable.
