The 2025 Pool of Young Journalists in Europe is up and running!

21 March 2025

Eurodesk is thrilled to announce that the 4th edition of the Pool of Young Journalists in Europe has officially started!

In collaboration with the European Commission, Eurodesk proudly presents the 2025 Pool of Young Journalists in Europe. Building on the success of the three previous editions, this initiative remains a lasting legacy of the 2022 European Year of Youth, continuously empowering young people as impactful storytellers and content creators.

For 2025, 16 talented young journalists were selected through a public call. These journalists have been given a platform to write articles, create videos, produce podcasts, and engage in photojournalism, focusing on topics that resonate with young people today. Their work is showcased on the European Youth Portal, providing a broader stage for them to share their insights, stories and perspectives.

In February 2025, the new pool members travelled to Brussels for an intense 3-day training session. During their stay, they had the opportunity to meet with European Commission officials, attend the European Commission’s Midday Press Briefing, work on their first articles, and receive training in public speaking.
