CAMPAIGNS

Time to move campaign

Time to Move is a Europe-wide campaign held annually in October, designed to raise awareness of learning mobility opportunities and highlight local Eurodesk information centres, with particular emphasis on reaching young people from disadvantaged areas.

Don’t let other choose for you!

Created for the 2024 EU Election, it motivates young people, especially first-time voters, to make their voice heard at the ballot box. It helps them understand the voting process and the impact of their choices, because if they don’t vote, someone else will decide for them.

Time to mind: Eurodesk mental health campaign

Eurodesk’s mental health campaign offers practical resources to help young people recognise and manage culture shock, adapt to new environments, and maintain well-being abroad, while also equipping youth workers with mental health first aid basics.

GREEN’IT: EURODESK SUSTAINABILITY CAMPAIGN

Green’it provides young people with resources to help them make sustainable choices, travel greener, volunteer for climate action, and lead youth-led projects. It also supports youth workers with practical tools for developing greener youth information services.

Projects

Pool of young journalists in Europe

Eurodesk launched the Pool of Young Journalists in Europe in partnership with the European Commission to engage young people in creating content for the European Youth Portal.

Eurodesk Awards

The Eurodesk Awards recognise and celebrate the work of local Eurodesk multipliers who help young people access opportunities across Europe. The initiative highlights inspiring projects and presents them to stakeholders at national and European levels, culminating in an Awards Ceremony.

EUROCLASSES

Euroclasses is a Eurodesk initiative that raises young people’s awareness of European opportunities through key themes such as volunteering, activism, and working abroad. All classes have been designed for young people and are based on non-formal learning.

INFORMATION PORTALS

Eurodesk bulletin

Delivers daily updates from EU and international institutions, along with key publications, resources, and events in the youth field. This constant monitoring keeps youth information workers informed of policy developments and programme changes.

Eurodesk Opportunity finder

A public database of over 250 opportunities for young people and youth professionals. It focuses on opportunities related to working, volunteering, learning abroad and youth participation.

European Youth Portal

Eurodesk contributes to the European Youth Portal, a gateway to key programmes, such as DiscoverEU, and to youth-related initiatives. It publishes content, handles the “Ask a Question” helpdesk and runs the Pool of Young Journalists in Europe.

Other information portals

Other information portals help young people navigate life across Europe. These platforms provide guidance, support, and access to a diverse range of opportunities, enabling young people to make informed decisions and benefit from what Europe has to offer.

Eurodesk programme database

A professional tool used at both EU and national levels for collecting and managing information on youth-related programmes. Its content can be pooled on various web platforms, such as the Opportunity Finder, and is promoted on social media.

EU INITIATIVES

EU youth event

Eurodesk actively contributes to the European Youth Event (EYE), co-creating activities with youth organisations and young people in Strasbourg every two years. The EYE brings together thousands of young participants to share ideas on Europe's future, with their inputs compiled in the EYE Report for Members of the European Parliament. The next edition is scheduled for 2027.

European youth week

Eurodesk plays an active role in European Youth Week, closely cooperating with Erasmus+ National Agencies to organise events that celebrate youth engagement and participation. Held every two years across 33 Erasmus+ countries, the initiative promotes active citizenship and addresses key issues affecting young people, such as democracy and participation. The next edition will take place in 2026.

EU youth dialogue

Eurodesk is an observer of the EU Youth Dialogue, a Europe-wide consultation process to gather young people’s views, promote their participation in decision-making, and shape youth policies at the European level.

RESEARCH

COVID-19 membership survey results

Digital transformation accelerated in Eurodesk centres during the pandemic, boosting online outreach despite financial and technological barriers. It highlights persistent inequalities and the vital importance of motivation and mutual support during the crisis.

YIMINDS SURVEY REPORT

The report presents data from a European survey detailing youth information workers’ experiences, skills, and challenges in supporting young people’s mental health. It identifies gaps in mental health literacy, protocols, and resources, and offers recommendations.

Eurodesk youth information survey

Conducted every three years, the survey collects insights into how young people aged 13-35 seek information, their preferred sources and communication channels, and the benefits and challenges they face in learning about mobility.
