Eurodesk Brussels Link AISBL (“EBL”) coordinates the Eurodesk network and acts as controller for personal data processed through the Eurodesk websites it manages (national Eurodesk websites are managed by national Eurodesks).

This policy applies to people who use Eurodesk websites, contact Eurodesk, subscribe to newsletters, register for events, request support, or share information with Eurodesk or its network in connection with its youth information services.

Social Media Giveaways – Terms and Conditions
1. Organiser Instagram Giveaway Terms and Conditions
This giveaway is organised by Eurodesk Brussels Link
2. Platform
The giveaway takes place exclusively on Instagram or TikTok via the official Eurodesk Brussels Link accounts. It is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Instagram, and Instagram is fully released from any responsibility.
3. Participation Period
The giveaway participation period is indicated in the respective posts/videos/stories.
4. How to Participate
To enter, participants must follow the instructions of the giveaways mentioned in the posts/videos/stories. Each participant may participate only once in a giveaway.
5. Eligibility
Open to all people aged between 18 and 30 with a valid Instagram/TikTok account who are legal residents of 36 countries Eurodesk operates a National Coordination office. Employees of Eurodesk Brussels Link or the 38 Eurodesk National Coordination offices, or persons involved in organising the giveaway, are not eligible.
6. Selection and Prizes
Winners are selected through a random draw using a digital selection tool (except stated otherwise) under the supervision of the organising team. The decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome. Each winner will be awarded the prize indicated in the post/story/video description.
7. Notification of Winners
Winners will be contacted via a private message on Instagram or TikTok. If a winner does not respond within 2 working days, another winner may be selected.
8. Data Protection
Any personal data collected (name, postal address, email addresses, phone numbers, etc.) will be processed according to our Eurodesk Privacy Policy and will only be used for the purpose of sending the prizes to the winners.
9. Liability
Eurodesk accepts no responsibility for technical problems. Participants bear all costs related to internet connection or participation.
10. Changes and Termination
Eurodesk reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions and/or to modify or cancel this giveaway without prior notice. Eurodesk reserves the right to cancel, postpone or modify the prize in case of force majeure or circumstances beyond its control.
11. Acceptance of Terms
Participation in this giveaway implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions.
Data retention
We keep data only as long as necessary for the original purpose, our legitimate interests (service improvement, research), legal obligations, or public interest archiving:
– General enquiries: Indefinitely for service improvement, trend analysis, and research (pseudonymised where relevant)
– Job applicant CVs: up to 10 years for recruitment compliance, discrimination claims, and HR records
– Newsletters: Until unsubscribed or 3 years of inactivity
– Events: Until reporting complete and legal minimum requirements for compliance and audits.
– Technical logs: Security needs only.
– Consent records: until the media are published and potentially checked for compliance.
