Volunteering programmes offer structured opportunities to contribute your time and skills to support various causes, organisations, or communities.
Work camp opportunities offer short-term, international volunteering experiences that bring together diverse groups of volunteers to collaborate on community-driven projects.
Youth ambassador programmes offer young people the opportunity to make a positive impact. They typically involve representing youth perspectives on various issues.

The European Solidarity Corps offers volunteering opportunities for young people (18-30) in various areas, from environmental conservation to inclusion, while the Interreg Volunteer Youth programme supports solidarity between EU regions. As you will discover, different formats and durations are possible. In both cases, the EU provides comprehensive support for volunteers, including travel costs, accommodation, food, and even a small allowance for personal expenses.
Other international institutions, such as UNESCO, offer volunteering opportunities worldwide.
Some companies offer costly “ready-made” packages for volunteering abroad – be mindful, especially if the work involves children. You will not find these in our database.

Non-profit organisations like Service Civil International (SCI) arrange work camps worldwide for a fee. These camps usually bring together a group of young volunteers (14+) from different countries for a project aimed at helping a local community. They last 2 to 8 weeks and can take place worldwide.
You can check this article on the European Youth Portal, which lists different organisations that offer work camps, and browse our Opportunity Finder. If you cannot afford such experiences financially, check the Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges or the European Solidarity Corps volunteering projects.
