Try European Solidarity Corps group volunteering or solidarity project or local or online volunteering. You’ll discover causes that move you and you’ll get a taste of what solidarity feels like in action.
Become a volunteer from wherever you are with whatever you have. The United Nations Online Volunteering initiative gives you the chance to team up to address sustainable development challenges anywhere in the world, from any device. Volunteering online is fast, easy, and – most of all – effective.
How does it work? From writing to editing, art and design, translation, research, teaching and training, and technology, find the activity that suits you the best. You need to register and then apply for the opportunities of your choice.
Do you want to run a solidarity project with your friends in your local community? With the European Solidarity Corps (ESC), this is possible.
How does it work? You need to form a group of a minimum of 5 young people aged between 18 and 30 years who are legally residing in the same participating country. Your project should address key challenges within your community while presenting a clear European added value. It can last between 2 and 12 months. You will also receive funding support.

Have you ever considered taking part in a short-term voluntary project? Work camps are short-term voluntary projects bringing together people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds to live and work together with local communities for a period of 2 to 3 weeks. The aim is to break down barriers between people and develop intercultural understanding.
How does it work? To participate, you need to register on your country branch, create your account and submit your application. Some SCI branches may ask you to pay the placement fee before processing your application. There are many different projects to choose from in Europe and across the world. It can be about organising an open-air cinema with the Roma community in Kosovo, experiencing life in an eco-village in Finland, or running activities for refugees in Kenya. Projects are regularly listed on the Service Civil International database.
