What a wonderful few days! Eurodesk Network Coordinators from across Europe gathered outside Wiesbaden to discuss everything related to youth information work, share best practices and lessons learned and demonstrate some of the games used by Eurodesk to engage young people.
Participants learned about projects run by colleagues from across Europe, from sailing with a group of young people in the Baltic Sea to how to responsibly integrate AI into your work; working with young journalists in Lithuania to facilitating young people to create podcasts in Italy.
Mathieu Orphanides from DG EAC attended and gave attendees a detailed update on funding, policy decisions and the roadmap for the next phase of Erasmus+. There was also time for attendees to ask him questions and learn more about the Commission’s plans for upcoming years.
Eurodesk Elections

During the General Assembly, participants approved membership applications from the UK and Moldova, who will join the Eurodesk Network and Erasmus+ from 2027. Welcome to our new members!
Eurodesk also elected its new board. The current Eurodesk President and Eurodesk Executive Committee were re-elected for another two-year mandate, with Savvas Gregoriou from Eurodesk Cyprus joining them as a new member of the committee.
The work plan and budget for 2027 were also approved, with an emphasis on Eurodesk multipliers’ networks to engage young people in their communities and our digital information services to ensure consistency, quality and outreach.
Eurodesk Stars
The National Coordinators participated in the Eurodesk Stars competition, aiming to celebrate the best Eurodesk projects of 2026.
The winners were:
Event Star
Eurodesk Malta presented their project TerraMar: when land meets sea and communities come alive. They collaborated with organisations working on the environment and climate change to share information on diverse opportunities with young people.
Digital Star
Eurodesk Cyprus showed how they reached rural and remote communities by placing touch screens in seven centres of the Youth Board of Cyprus, a Eurodesk multiplier.
Promotional Star
Eurodesk Estonia made branded deck chairs that they used at festivals and outdoor events to attract young people to stop and learn more about Eurodesk.
Fuck Up Star
The Eurodesk Cyprus team demonstrated how to turn lemons into lemonade. When the Network Meeting in Cyprus had to be cancelled due to a drone attack, they pivoted and arranged a training and study visit with EBL, Eurodesk multipliers and coordinators.
The meeting was jointly organised by Eurodesk Brussels Link and Eurodesk Germany from 28 September to 1 October. A big thank you to everyone who attended and brought their energy and ideas. We’ll see you in Cyprus in March!
