Call for a young Illustrator to design visuals for our next publication

Do you like drawing and creating illustrations? Are you looking for an opportunity to have your work visible all over Europe? Are you committed to doing something for climate change? Then you might be the young illustrator we are looking for!

 

Eurodesk is a specialised youth information network active in 36 countries in Europe. With its 1100 local multipliers, Eurodesk aims to raise awareness among young people on mobility opportunities and to encourage them to become active citizens in Europe.

The European Youth Information and Counselling Agency (ERYICA) is a European non-governmental association composed of 36 national and regional youth information coordinating structures present in 27 countries. ERYICA aims to uphold the right of young people to full and reliable information, which helps them make the choices they face in their lives, and which promotes their autonomy, ability to think critically, and active participation in society.

 

The Assignment:
We are looking for a creative person to design illustrations for our next joint publication on “Greening Youth Information Services”. The aim of the publication is to spread awareness of how one can be environmentally friendly and especially in youth information services.
The assignment is to design around 30 whiteboard illustrations in black and white. The visuals will be used throughout the publication, in creating posters and social media campaigns.

In order to apply one has to:

  • Be available part-time between 10 March – 30 April 2020
  • Have the equipment and experience of drawing whiteboard illustrations in black and white. (example: http://shorturl.at/BYZ38)

The assignment will be done remotely and a subcontracting agreement will be made between the illustrator and the networks. You will receive a 600 EUR flat fee for this task.

 

How to apply:
Draw two sketches. One to illustrate the concept “digital footprint” and another to illustrate “green events”. Send a picture of your illustrations together with a brief explanation of your experience as an illustrator and your motivation to apply(at)eurodesk.eu latest by 6 March 23:59 CET.

The selection committee will come to a decision and notify the applicants by the 11 March.
Priority will be given to young illustrators between 18 – 30 years old.
