Eurodesk Annual Overview 2018: Our network’s contribution to European youth work

.

The Eurodesk Annual Overview aims to share the network’s youth work practices from local, regional, national and European level.

The Eurodesk network had a busy year in 2018. The key actions included

  • working on improving youth services and the network’s tools,
  • electing a new board,
  • training youth information workers and sharing best practices between local youth workers,
  • contributing to the initiatives and programmes of the European Union institutions such as the DiscoverEU, European Solidarity Corps and the EYE18,
  • managing the European Youth Portal,
  • organising the yearly flagship campaign, Time to Move for the fifth time with 1000 events,
  • and highlighting local youth work best practices via the Eurodesk Awards.

The publication also invites the readers to have a glimpse of the national initiatives, organised in the Eurodesk countries.

In 2018, the Eurodesk network answered over 339,000 enquiries, had over 430,000 social media followers and received 12.1 million website visits. Over 3,600 trainings were held by Eurodesk for around 36,000 participants to further enhance knowledge of youth workers from all over Europe.
