The IT Support and Digital Projects Officer ensures the smooth, secure and user‑friendly operation of Eurodesk’s digital tools and platforms, in close collaboration with external IT providers and the Eurodesk network. They provide first‑line IT support and training to staff, national coordinators and multipliers. Working closely with the team, they improve internal and external processes, use data and surveys to support quality development, and contribute to digital and AI automation projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, empathy and curiosity, who enjoys solving problems, learning new tools quickly, and making technology accessible and inspiring for others.

Regular tasks

User Management & Support

  • Creates/deletes user accounts in Google Workspace; troubleshoots login/access issues.
  • Manages first-line helpdesk: records, prioritises, and resolves IT tool issues for staff/multipliers (e.g. Stripo, Sendy, AWS).
  • Develops clear, user-friendly manuals/guides for Eurodesk digital tools.
  • Organises and delivers training sessions (online/in-person) for staff and members on IT systems/tools.

IT Project Coordination

  • Collects inputs/needs from the team and members and proposes solutions.
  • Designs and implements simple AI automations to streamline work.
  • Writes technical specs for IT projects and liaises with external providers.
  • Reviews provider reports/updates, ensuring deliverables match requirements.

Data & Surveys

  • Prepares evaluation forms, analyses data in software such as Tableau and generates visualisations/graphs for reports.
  • Implements quality monitoring systems and (automation) processes.

  • Knowledge of Intranet systems (e.g. Google Workspace).
  • Knowledge of CMS (e.g. Drupal/WordPress), SQL/MySQL administration, and basic coding (PHP/JavaScript/HTML) to communicate effectively with external IT providers.
  • Good English writing and editing skills to create simple, friendly manuals and guides about Eurodesk digital tools.

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with network configuration, WLAN, firewalls (e.g. Cloudflare), security practices, and cyber threat awareness.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Data analysis tools (e.g. Tableau) for data analysis and creating reports/graphs.
  • Quick learning ability and passion for emerging tech like IoT to bring fresh ideas/solutions to Eurodesk’s network.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years working in a system administration role or equivalent.
  • Experience in preparing IT specifications and procedures.
  • Experience delivering training sessions (online or in-person) for diverse groups.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Experience in web administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a (European) organisation/association is an asset.
  • A strong commitment to self-improvement and staying updated with emerging trends and technologies in the field.

Conditions

  • Permanent full-time contract (38h/week).
  • Work is office-based. The applicant shall be able to relocate to Brussels and work in an international environment (English is the working language).
  • The monthly gross salary is 3.500 EUR. 
  • Benefits include a 13th month, 20 legal + 8 extra-legal holidays, lunch vouchers, local transport contribution, teleworking benefits (150 EUR) and an insurance plan. 
  • This role requires occasional travel to events across Europe. 
  • A valid work permit for Belgium is required.
