Love writing? Curious about youth policy? Want to help shape the way millions of young Europeans access information about their opportunities? Eurodesk Brussels Link is seeking a Web Editor Intern to join our communications team for 6 months.

With a network of national coordinators connected to over 3500 local information providers and Eurodesk centres in 36 European countries, Eurodesk is the main source of information on European policies and opportunities for young people and those who work with them. Eurodesk Brussels Link coordinates the activities of the network, providing various information tools and resources, and managing several digital platforms and social media channels. The network also updates and manages content on the European Youth Portal.

The intern will assist the team in carrying out various communication campaigns and projects. This position requires excellent writing skills in English.

Tasks

  • Answers enquiries from young people (helpdesk);
  • Writes/edits content for young people and those working with them on the Eurodesk websites, newsletters and the European Youth Portal (articles, news and events);
  • Writes/edits brochures, leaflets and other communication materials for various projects;
  • Assists in measuring the impact of Eurodesk information work and managing the Intranet;
  • Assists the communication team with the social media activities;
  • Supports in network activities and European-level meetings and events when relevant.

Profile and skills required

  • An academic background in communication, journalism or equivalent experience is requested;
  • Excellent writing/editing skills in English are required;
  • Familiarity with Content Management Systems is a plus;
  • A keen eye for detail and good visual skills;
  • Interest in youth policy and youth-related issues;
  • Knowledge about social media channels and trends is a plus;
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, international environment.

Conditions

  • The proposed length of the internship is six (6) months. 
  • The traineeship is on a full-time basis in line with the regular working hours of Eurodesk (38h/week). The intern will work in the Eurodesk office. Monthly allowance 1.200,00 Euros.
  • The successful candidate should be available to start working on 14 September 2026.
  • A valid work permit for Belgium is required.
