DiscoverEU is expanding! 8 new countries to join from 2027!

.

In 2027, DiscoverEU will open a new chapter by welcoming 18-year-olds from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Moldova, Montenegro and Ukraine. In addition, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will also join the programme, as they will return to Erasmus+. Eligible young people from these countries will be able to apply for travel passes and begin a journey that brings them closer to Europe’s cultures, languages and communities.

The Eurodesk Network will support young people during the application phases by handling their enquiries through the European Youth Portal! It will provide all the essential information about the programme, guide applicants through the application process, indicate what to do and what to avoid, and remain available after the application period. For young people, receiving the right information and support at the right time is essential to avoid missed opportunities and to fully benefit from the programme.

In 2025, the Eurodesk Network answered more than 290,000 enquiries from young people!

The Eurodesk Network also assists the European Commission by promoting the DiscoverEU calls and by sending a dedicated newsletter to young people who did not win a DiscoverEU travel pass, encouraging them to explore other valuable European and international funding opportunities available to them.
