From 1 to 5 June 2026, the Eurodesk Brussels Link (EBL) team travelled to Cyprus to meet with our local multipliers. The goal was to learn firsthand about their inspiring work to engage young people around European opportunities and values by providing youth with information in their local communities across the island.
Understanding the grassroots realities of our network is at the heart of what we do. Our multipliers are in daily contact with young people in both rural areas and cities, and we could exchange ideas on the challenges they face, such as housing costs and a lack of awareness of existing opportunities. Visiting our local multipliers is motivational as we see the impact of our Eurodesk work on local communities. It also gives EBL insights into local needs, helping us adapt our European tools to support their daily efforts to empower young people.
During the trip, the EBL team had the pleasure of visiting several organisations and youth centres:

The team also had the chance to engage directly with young people by taking part in a lively quiz night organised by the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Cyprus alongside Erasmus+ students.
To further support their work, EBL organised dedicated capacity-building training for 10 Eurodesk Cyprus multipliers. These sessions focused on equipping youth workers with practical tools in key areas such as youth outreach, gamification, Euroclasses, and the use of artificial intelligence in youth information services.
A massive thank you to Eurodesk Cyprus for organising such an inspiring and productive visit!
