On November 27-28, 2024, Eurodesk attended the Participation Forum in Tallinn, Estonia, hosted by SALTO Participation and Information. Joining 150 experts and policymakers, we discussed youth participation and proposed actionable solutions.
Key topics included digital engagement, social inclusion, and the role of education in fostering active citizenship. We emphasised cross-sectoral partnerships to empower young people in shaping communities and engaging in democratic processes.
Aligned with Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps priorities, we shared best practices and tackled challenges through interactive sessions and panels, setting the stage for future youth participation initiatives.
At the Cooperation Fair, we presented our initiatives like the Youth Info Survey, the Guide on Youth Participation in Youth Information Services and the Euroclasses. Study visits to local NGOs, schools, and community projects highlighted successful civic engagement strategies.
