Pool of Young Journalists in Europe

In collaboration with the European Commission, Eurodesk established the first Pool of Young Journalists in Europe during the European Year of Youth (2022) to involve young people in creating content for the European Youth Portal, continuously empowering them to become impactful storytellers and content creators.

The selected journalists are given a platform to write articles, create videos, produce podcasts, and engage in photojournalism, focusing on topics that resonate with young people today. Their work is showcased on the European Youth Portal, providing a broader stage for them to share their insights, stories and perspectives.

Since its launch in 2022, the Pool of Young Journalists in Europe has demonstrated our dedication to supporting young voices. We provide these young journalists with the tools, training and platforms they need to report on important issues for Europe’s youth and grow as active European citizens.
